What can I do to get rid of my wrinkles?

We can use neurotoxin injectables such as Botox or Dysport to smooth out fine expression lines caused by the repetitive contraction of facial muscles. Chemical peels, microneedling, and/or laser treatments done in conjunction will amplify the benefits.

  • It is a medication injected into a muscle, blocking certain chemical signals from the nerves which tell a muscle to contract. It results in a temporary relaxation of that muscle and softens wrinkles. It also works for oil control and improving acne by reducing sebum production.

  • You can smooth out the forehead, frown lines of the brow, eyes, neck, chin, lines on the nose, and lines above the lip. You can also use neurotoxins to slim the jaw muscles and decrease discomfort associated with TMJ. Another use of botox is to treat underarm hyperhidrosis; this decreases excessive sweating.

  • There is no right or wrong age to start using neurotoxins. Some younger clients decide to start neurotoxins early if they have expression lines that are beginning to already be etched in. Conversely, some older clients have no lines to treat! However, many clients decide to start getting neurotoxins in their mid 20s to early 30s.

  • Yes, they are FDA approved for the treatment of wrinkles. They are also FDA approved for therapeutic treatments such as treatment for migraines. However, we avoid neurotoxin injections in clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • No, most people feel tiny pricking sensations but overall, the treatment is very tolerable without numbing. If you prefer, we can also provide ice to numb the area.

  • A week before the treatment, try to avoid consuming alcohol or taking medications or supplements that thin the blood unless medically needed (examples are aspirin, ibuprofen, Gingko Biloba, or Ginseng). This will help minimize the risk of bruising. Please come to your appointment without makeup in the area to be treated. Afterwards, we recommended avoiding exercise and other strenuous activities for 24 hours.

  • Some common side effects are redness, tenderness, and potential bruising in the injection sites. A rare side effect is if the neurotoxin is inadvertently injected into an unintended muscle, it can cause eyelid drooping or an uneven smile. However, these side effects are very rare and are temporary.

  • You will see results gradually taking effect in the next 3-7 days but we recommend waiting the full 2 weeks for the final result.

  • Results usually last 3-4 months.

  • Our Tox Booster treatment is a chemical peel and botox done in one session. The chemical peel resurfaces and renews the skin taking away fine lines while the neurotoxin helps to soften the movement lines.

Lasers and microneedling / RF microneedling can be done at different time intervals. Come in for a consultation and we’ll create a treatment plan for you.

Just for you.
